Gregory Mead
CEO & Co-founderGreg specialised in statistical data and trend analysis. He founded Semetric in 2007 with Matt and Marie-Alicia after noticing the lack of easily available data for the Music industry.
He graduated in Physics at Imperial College London, specialising in computational physics.
Jameel Syed
CTOJameel is the CTO at Semetric and heads our team of engineers. He was a founding member of Inforsense Ltd, a leading data mining and analytics company. He received a Ph.D. in Data Analysis and Computing at Imperial College London.
Marie-Alicia Chang
Co-Founder & Head of business developmentMarie-Alicia has previously worked with Octopus/PMI for Film & TV production management software company KAI-UK. She co-founded Semetric and brings experience from both the software and creative industries.
Matt Jeffery
Co-Founder & Principal software engineerMatt leads the development of the core infrastructure at Semetric, particularly the backend data collection and management systems. He specialises in Internet Computing and software engineering and co-founded Musicmetric with Greg and Marie-Alicia.

Jeremy Silver
Executive chairmanJeremy is Executive Chairman at Semetric, and is a senior advisor to the Featured Artist Coalition. Previously, Jeremy was global VP for New Media at EMI based in London and Los Angeles, as well as being CEO of Sibelius Software, Director of Media Affairs at Virgin Records, and CEO of playlist sharing service Uplister Inc. He currently serves as Deputy Chairman of Futurelab thinktank, and also advises to the UK Technology Strategy Board.
Spencer Hyman
Advisory board memberSpencer is the CEO of Artfinder, an online market place for art. He was previously COO of Last.fm and currently sits on the advisory boards of LinkedIn, YoyoGames and EPOS. Before joining Last.fm as COO Spencer held senior positions at Amazon and Hasbro.
Marc Moens
Investor directorAfter obtaining a PhD in Cognitive Science and Linguistics, Marc worked as a research fellow at the University of Edinburgh. He started and ran its Language Technology Group for 10 years. The remit of the group was to extend basic research results in an application-oriented direction.
He left the University to co-found Rhetorical Systems, a text-to-speech company, and became its CEO. In 2001, Pentech became one of Rhetorical’s investors. Rhetorical soon became a market leader in high-quality text-to-speech, with sales across Europe and the US. In December 2004 Rhetorical was sold to a US-based speech company. After the sale of Rhetorical, Marc joined the Pentech team full-time as a partner.
Marc is also on the board of Pentech portfolio companies Hubdub, Maxymiser, and we7.
